Web Design Project Description: I prefer to work with designers: Worldwide This is not for our actually website but rather for a side project. 1.We want to integrate the PDF documents that we have of 3 or 4 books into a website that is going to be stored locally on a CD or DVD, rather than the internet. If possible, we would like to include copy protections on the actual PDF documents. While the books are currently stored in PDF format, it would be no problem, and probably easier to use a more web friendly format. 2.The books contain recipes that we want to allow people to search for. Upon finding a recipe that someone is looking for, rather than display the text we would like that person to be taken to the page in the PDF document where that recipe is listed. We want the search function to include the ability to search by author, meal course, recipe name, and ingredients. 3.We also would like people to be able to browse through the PDF documents page by page if they want to, as if they were reading an eBook. 4.We want to include and index with a listing by recipe, meal course and author. 5.We are looking to have all of this in a very simple website. A simple search box, followed by links to the index, as well as the images of the covers of each of the books, such that when they are clicked the user is brought to the book so that they can browse through it (see number 2.) We would like our logo included, and for the color theme of the website to generally match those on our logo. 6.If it is possible, we would like to include an auto run feature on the disk that will either automatically launch the site, or prompt a user to see if they want to run it. If not, we can include instructions on how to launch the site. 7.We would like all of the file paths to be relative so that should we chose to transfer the site off the disk to another medium or the web, we can.
